Pamper yourself with a pink salt scrub

The name Pink Salt AMI was inspired by the spectacular pink-hue sunsets and sea salt air on lovely Anna Maria Island. Pink salt itself is a Himalayan crystal salt believed to contain numerous natural minerals. Many articles describe the pros and cons of ingesting table salt versus Himalayan salt but I’ll skip that piece. How about focusing on pampering yourself with a DIY pink salt scrub? Yes, please! Our favorite scents are coconut and any citrus (so Florida). Fortunately coconut oil is so prevalent these days, making a salt scrub is super easy. All you really need is some pink salt, coconut oil, and essential oils. Using this combination over other salts and oils is said to boost skin benefits. We don’t make claims here at Pink Salt AMI but will say this combination succeeded in making us feel pampered:

• 1 cup fine Himalayan salt
• 1 T coconut oil
• 2 T sweet almond oil
• 20-25 drops of your favorite essential oil
